How to take care of Oily skin in Mansoon?

Oily skin or seborrhea  is a  common skin problem or complaint during hot weather &  it further aggravates during monsoon season .

If you have oily skin, you know probably know how difficult it is to keep pimples and other skin problems at bay. And during monsoon, it requires a little more care and attention. The increase in humidity during monsoon makes your skin greasier, which may lead to breakouts and other issues. So, what you need to do is tweak your skin care routine to suit the weather. Here are some effective skin care tips to make sure your skin stays clear and healthy this monsoon.

Oil or sebum is produced by Sebaceous glands present over face.

Its secretion plays an important role in forming a protective layer over the face.It not only protects but helps in hydrating the skin

Its secretion is affected by genetic, hormonal  & environmental factors. So its secretion changes if there is any hormonal disbalance .A high-calorie diet rich in sugar N carbohydrates acts as a stimulus for sebaceous glands. So one should avoid fried oily N sugary diet. Sebum production increases in summer & monsoon.  These days are highly humid that leads to less evaporation of sweat, and which further aggravates the problem of SEBORRHEA or OILY SKIN. Over washing or too much rubbing, the skin doesn’t solve the problem rather these glands become more active and they start secreting more sebum. Cleaning the face twice a day with mild cleansers is sufficient.

1)Hot water wins over oil:

As opposed to dry skin which does well with warm water, oily skin could do with a hot water rinse. Why? Hot water is effective in dissolving all the excess oil on your skin, leaving it supple and soft like when you were a baby. That’s a tip for keeps!

2) Facial scrubs score:

·         If your skin sometimes feels like an oil well (metaphorically of course), then regular facial scrubbing will dry it up considerably and effectively.

·         This happens because facial scrubs help unclog your pores and also the assist greatly for exfoliation.

·         You never know how a particular chemical reacts to your skin. You know, one woman’s poison is another’s nectar.

3) Natural or nothing:

·         Another oily skin care tip is to make a paste using besan, milk, lemon and honey.

·         Apply that paste to your skin and rest assured, the oiliness will be history and your skin, rejuvenated.

·         Natural pastes are healthy, safe and economical; what other attributes could you possibly want?

Senior Dermatologist Dr. Manju Keshari says that it’s very important to apply the right products in monsoon especially for persons with oily skin. Gel-based moisturizers and sunscreen will be suitable for this weather.

The Best Skin Clinic for Laser Hair Removal in Ghaziabad

It’s very tough to find the best Laser hair removal clinic in Ghaziabad. For that, we consider some points. First knowledge of  Dr. or Dermatologist second treatment facility provided at the clinic. And what price or cost will be charged by clinic for laser Hair removal.

Although laser hair removal prices can be high, many people find the cost worth it to have the unwanted hair removed permanently. In many cases, the cost is in the range of other permanent hair removal techniques. The laser isn’t more expensive than the cost of electrolysis. Consider what you spend now for hair removal. Over time, you will save money on the cost of body waxing or depilatory products.

5 Factors Affecting the Cost

·        The size of the area being treated. The laser can be used on any area of the body, excluding the eye area. Smaller areas, such as the pubic region, require less time than larger areas, such as the legs, chest or back.

·         The area of the country where you live helps determine the cost. Sessions range from Rs.1500 to Rs. 3000 per session, depending on where you live.

·        The number of sessions you will need. This will be discussed during your consultation. Four sessions are common, but it could be anywhere from three to six sessions.

·        The color of your hair and skin is a major factor in the cost of laser treatments. Because the energy from the laser is absorbed by the pigment in the hair, it’s best if your hair is darker than your skin tone. Dark hair on light skin responds best to treatment. The procedure is least effective on blonde or red hair. Several sessions will be required and the results may not be consistent.

·       The color of your skin is another factor that will affect the cost. Very dark skin isn’t a good candidate for laser hair removal. The energy from the laser is absorbed by the pigment in the skin. In extreme cases, this can result in burns or skin damage. For this reason, you should not have a suntan when you sit for laser hair removal. Avoid tanning for a month before the procedure to give your tan time to fade.

Choosing a Facility on the Cost of Laser Hair Removal

You should never choose a facility based solely on cost. This is not a cosmetic procedure, but a medical one. You want a highly trained and experienced person handling the laser. You may find discount clinics offering this service. Be suspicious of this type of clinic. A clinic with a well respected and experienced staff generally doesn’t offer deep discounts. You don’t choose your other medical care based only on cost, so you shouldn’t do this will laser hair removal either.

Choose a clinic based on the qualifications of the medical director and the experience of the staff. Look for a doctor that is Board Certified in Dermatology and who has had training and experience with the laser. The better clinics have more than one board certified doctor on staff. The atmosphere of the office should be professional.

Dark Circles Under Eyes causes & treatment

Dark circles a serious health problem. Many people feel that dark circles under their eyes make them look tired, older, or unhealthy. Let’s know something about it.

What Are Dark Circles?

Dark circles or periorbital dark circles are a skin concern that arises when blood vessels show up through the delicate thin skin around your eyes. This can make your face look tired and dull. But, they are not necessarily permanent. Identifying the cause of dark circles can help treat them effectively.

What Causes Dark Circles Under Your Eyes?

1. Allergies: Allergies  cause the skin to itch. Constant rubbing of the skin around your eyes can lead to dark circles.

2. Medications: Any medications that dilate the blood vessels can lead to dark circles under your eyes. Since the skin around your eyes is delicate, it can easily show up increased blood flow through the skin.

3. Anemia: Lack of iron in your diet makes you anemic and can show up in the form of dark circles. Pregnancy and menstruation can cause low levels of iron and lead underlying veins to become more prominent.

4. Aging: With the natural aging process, people tend to lose collagen in the skin under the eyes. This skin is thinner and ages faster than the rest of the skin due to excessive usage in activities like facial expressions.

5. Sun Exposure: The UV light from the sun triggers the production of melanin (brown skin pigment) making the skin under your eyes darker.

6. Periorbital Hyperpigmentation: This is a condition where more melanin is produced under the eyes, giving them a darker appearance.

7. Stress/Fatigue: A lack of sleep or stress can cause pale skin, making the skin around the eyes darker. The blood underneath appears more blue or darker.

8. Cigarette Smoking, Aalcohol And Caffeine: The toxins in cigarette smoke, alcohol and caffeine cause damage to the delicate structure of the skin around your eyes, making them darker.

9. Dehydration: Lack of fluids in the body can cause the blood vessels underneath your eyes to become more prominent. Result being dark circles around your eyes.

10. Your Genetic Makeup: Some people naturally have more melanin production under the eyes or less collagen. These factors contribute to dark circles under the eyes.

11. Eye Strain: Staring at your computer screens and mobile screens for prolonged periods cause dark circles. There is an increased blood flow under the eyes due to this stress, causing the blood to appear more blue underneath.

Prevention Tips

Sleep well: Lack of sleep, fatigue and stress can cause dark circles. Get adequate sleep (6-8 hours) every night to prevent dark circles.

Protect from sun: Limit your exposure to the sun. In case you have to step out, use sunglasses and apply sunscreen.

Quit smoking and Alcohol : Smoking and alcohol accelerate the aging process and cause dark circles around your eyes.

Treatment

Home Remedies: There are some home remedies that can help to control under eye dark circle. Some of the more common methods include:

Apply a cold compress: A cold compress can help reduce swelling and shrink dilated blood vessels. This can reduce the appearance of puffiness and help eliminate dark circles. Wrap a few ice cubes in a clean washcloth and apply to your eyes. You can also dampen a washcloth with cold water and apply it to the skin under your eyes for 20 minutes for the same effect. Repeat this process if the cloth becomes warm or if the ice melts.

Get extra sleep: Catching up on sleep can also help reduce the appearance of dark circles. Sleep deprivation can cause your skin to appear pale, making the dark circles more obvious. Allow yourself seven to eight hours of rest to prevent dark circles from appearing.

Elevate your head. While sleep deprivation can play a part in producing those dark bags under your eyes, sometimes it’s how you sleep. Elevate your head with a few pillows to prevent fluid from pooling under your eyes which can make them look puffy and swollen.

Soak with tea bags: Applying cold tea bags to your eyes can improve their appearance. Tea contains caffeine and antioxidants that can help stimulate blood circulation, shrink your blood vessels, and reduce liquid retention beneath your skin. Soak two black or green tea bags in hot water for five minutes. Let them chill in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes. Once they’re cold, apply the teabags to your closed eyes for 10 to 20 minutes. After removing, rinse your eyes with cool water.

Conceal with makeup: While makeup and cosmetics do not cure dark eye circles, they can help to camouflage them. Concealers can cover dark marks so they blend in with your normal skin color. However, as with any topical treatment or makeup product, use proper care. Some products can cause your symptoms to worsen and may trigger an allergic reaction. If you begin to experience irregular symptoms from any topical treatment, stop use immediately and schedule a visit with your doctor.

Medical treatments

For a more effective and permanent solution, some medical treatments are available to reduce the appearance of dark circles. Some of the more common methods include:

Chemical peels to reduce pigmentation

Laser surgery to resurface the skin and enhance skin tightening

Medical tattoos to inject pigment into thinning skin areas

Tissue fillers to conceal blood vessels and melanin that are causing skin discoloration beneath your eyes.

Fat removal to remove excess fat and skin, revealing a smoother and more even surface

Surgical implants of fat or synthetic products

Dr. Manju Keshari (Senior Dermatologist ) KEMPS Skin Clinic, Vaishali, Ghaziabad says that before deciding on any cosmetic procedure, discuss your options with your Dermatologist .

Laser Hair Removal and its benefit

Unwanted facial and body hair is a common problem that can be a source of distress for both men and women. Excess facial hair growth can lead to a lot of self-esteem issues and can be a subject of embarrassment for a lot of people.

A lot of times I’ve come across situations where I couldn’t wear a particular dress because of those small bumpy hairs on my arms and underarms. The old ways of hair removal can be compared to stepping on a never-ending merry-go-round ride which is painful. Be it epilators, bee wax or hair removal creams none of the methods seem like a feasible option these days to the people.

Laser Hair Reduction

One permanent and effective treatment for hair reduction is laser hair treatment. Lasers and light sources can be used to safely and effectively treat larger areas of unwanted hair with minimal patient discomfort and fewer complications than other hair-reduction methods.

Advantages of Laser Hair Removal Treatment

1) Comfort: The convenience of forgetting about hair removal is an incredible benefit, saving time, pain and money.

2) They are less painful– the ‘pain factor’ is something which attracts many women towards the laser treatment. Epilators and waxing could cause some serious level of pain and discomfort whereas, hair removal creams can cause a burning sensation on your skin. On the other hand, laser treatment is the least painful of them all where each pulse of the laser is a simple sting like sensation.

3)Safe and fast: Laser hair removal treatment does not involve any risk if you follow the appropriate indications of the therapists and it can be enhanced in any part of the body.

4) Precision– now we all know about the feeling where you realize that the parlor left a patch of hair because she was in a hurry or because the hair was too small to get pulled off. Most of us also know about the feeling of shaving our hands and legs in the bathroom for hours to achieve the utmost precision. Nevertheless, that’s not an issue with laser treatment since the laser pulse is going to target each hair follicle giving you the best results.

4) Freedom from coarse and ingrown hair–  Dark coarse hair and ingrown hair a common problem with people who shave or wax without help. Many a time people don’t know in which direction the hair should be removed and this leads to a common problem of coarse and ingrown hair. Laser treatment is going to ensure that each hair follicle is removed so that it does not cause a feeling of discomfort later on.

5) Less frequent hair growth– there is a common myth that laser treatments make your hair darker when they regrow. However, it is the complete opposite of that, after a laser treatment, you’ll notice a decline in your hair growth and also notice the growth of much finer hair.

6) Time–  most of the procedures of hair removal take a lot of time, whereas, a laser treatment session is hardly going to take 20-30 minutes altogether depending upon the area.

7) Safe for the face and intimate areas– while most of the things can cause irritation or redness laser treatment is proven to be safe for the face as well as the bikini area.

KEMPS Skin Clinic Vaishali, Sec-4 provide advanced laser hair removal services. You may book prior appointment and consult for better treatment.

Anti aging and step to get glowing skin

Anti ageing is an ongoing process. Sunlight, stress, unhealthy eating habits and environment all add years to our body and face. So, we can age gracefully by cosmetic procedures which not only turn back the clock but make us look graceful and in tune with our fast pacing life. These are called proactive anti-aging procedures which give instant results without downtime. They can be done as office procedures without any surgery and are safe and effective.

  • BOTOX can be done on face for dynamic wrinkles and fine lines on forehead, frown lines and crow’s feet. It is a US FDA approved for upper face and is a regular opd procedure which hardly takes 15 -20 min.
  • Threads are done for sagging around jaw line and cheeks. It helps in stimulating collagen production.
  • Dermal Fillers are done for volume correction in mid and lower face and act as liquid face lift.

Phase out some aging Habits

1-The single best thing you can do for your health and longevity is quit smoking. Smoking has been indicted for a laundry list of ills from heart disease to lung disorders, all of which can foil your longevity plans.

2- Drink only in moderation. Alcohol infuses every cell, damaging genes and inflaming your liver. A glass of wine a day for women and maybe two for men, but no more, may be mildly beneficial.

3-Get proper sleep. Your body needs down time to repair cells and rest your heart. And your mind needs dreaming to stay sane.

4-Consult with you dermatologist regarding anti aging. "Anti-aging is like saying anti-puberty or anti-pregnancy. This is a natural process," dermatologist says. Whatever his or her style, your new doctor may recommend yearly assessment of various biomarkers, including lipids, DHEA, estrogen, cortisol, thyroid, lung function, and micronutrient assays.

5-Cut saturated fat, up omega-3 fats. It's gospel by now: eat less or no red meat; lose the cake and ice cream; consume more complex carbs, such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables; and get plenty of fatty fish. The healthy fats in salmon, mackerel, and sardines help keep oxygen free-radical molecules from damaging your cells.

6-Consider moderating your total food intake. Studies in rats show that a 30% calorie restriction means longer life (no, it doesn't just seem longer!). Blackman also cites studies in rhesus monkeys showing a gain in years from a reduction in food. Obviously, losing excess pounds means less strain on your system.

Expert tips for a minimal makeup to look beautiful

One of the greatest things about summer is the freedom to let loose with your beauty routine. Not only does the hot and humid air make an over-the-top makeup application nearly impossible, but the summer sun gives the skin a natural glow that requires little add-ons.

Minimal makeup look for warmer months gives off a more natural vibe that translates well with the summer season, The secret to pulling off this look requires a modest use of products that expands well beyond cosmetics. It starts with focusing on the health of your skin. “If your skin looks rested, hydrated and happy, your makeup can simply accent your natural beauty,” says by dermatologist and makeup expert.

Start with a clean face: One of the most essential elements to creating a flawless, low-key look is starting with freshly cleaned skin. Work in a hydrating cleanser that dissolves any existing makeup and impurities on the skin while simultaneously giving the skin a boost of antioxidants

Protect Your Skin With SPF: If skin health is truly important to you, you shouldn’t leave the house without SPF—especially in the summer when the UV rays are most intense. To prevent clogged pores and breakouts, always use a sunscreen that’s oil- and fragrance-free.

Add in Hydration: To combat dryness and keep skin as supple as possible so that your makeup goes on smoothly, it’s best to up your hydration game. Be sure to use a lightweight moisturizer that’s not too heavy but rich in texture. moisturizer which is enriched with ceramides and vitamin F, which helps protect the skin’s barrier and maintain proper hydration levels.

For an even higher dose of hydration, use any Hyaluronic Acid Intensifier—its key ingredient, hyaluronic acid, can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water! It also goes the extra mile by containing purple ride extract, which preserves the hyaluronic acid content in the skin.

Set Your Makeup Base:

For creating a smooth base upon which you can apply your makeup, you’ll want to use a skin-friendly primer (i.e. one that won’t clog pores and make you break out). Choose a Primer which has combination of hyaluronic acid and coconut alkanes which make your skin feeling nourished and moisturized due to an infusion of hyaluronic acid and coconut alkanes. What you can expect from using this primer is hydrated skin for the entire day and a dewy finish upon which you can apply the rest of your makeup.

Reveal a Subtle Tint:  After applying primer, the dermatologist recommends using a sheer hint of coverage that also has a blend of skin care and ingredients to blur any imperfections. If you want to combine two steps in one, you could use a tinted formula that contains SPF, It provides light coverage with a blend of skin-boosting nutrients like hyaluronic acid, plant-based squalane and niacinamide, a form of vitamin B that helps smooth skin texture. The added SPF protection also safely shields skin from blue and infrared light thanks to non-nano zinc oxide.

Give Brows a Grooming:  For a timeless no-makeup makeup look, you’ll definitely not want to forget your brows. You can fill them in easily and provide shaping and smoothing with any beauty product.

Accentuate Your Features: To give your skin that sun kissed glow and accentuate your natural features, add a pop of pigment to your cheekbones. With skin-loving ingredients like jojoba oil for moisture, gardenia extract, which provides antioxidant benefits, and RSA rubiginosa seed oil to help fight signs of premature aging.

Add a Finishing Touch: at the end apply a thin coat of waterproof mascara to enhance your eyes. For optimal effect use mascara that offers both volumizing and lengthening benefits.

By this method, you may look beautiful by minimal makeup. For more detail and skincare issue visit KEMPS Skin Clinic.

How to keep Clear Skin in Humid Weather

When you check the weather forecast and see there’s going to be high humidity, one of the big concerns is how to keep your skin clear and bright in humid weather. Humid weather can be an all-too-common contributing factor to oily skin and breakouts. When the temperature and humidity are at their highest, your skin is more likely to respond.

When sweat natural oils and dead cells on the top layer of your skin mix, pores can become clogged and cause breakouts. While you can’t change the weather and there’s not much you can do to avoid humidity altogether, you can make a few tweaks to your regular skincare routine to encourage clear skin.

Use a cleansing tool:

Your hands are one of the best tools you have at your disposal. They can smooth on foundation, massage in moisturizer, and even apply face wash. But just as there are brushes and blenders you can also choose to apply makeup with, your hands aren’t your only option for getting clean. When it starts to get humid outside, you may want to pay particular attention to the alternatives and consider using a facial cleansing tool. Not only are cleansing tools often more hygienic, since you won’t risk any dirty fingers touching your face, but they can also provide a more efficient way to cleanse your skin’s surface. This is especially important since your skin can easily become congested with sweat, oil and dirt when the weather is humid.

Choose a perfect facial cleanser that reduces the look of shine:

The facial cleanser you adore when it’s oh-so-chilly out might not cut it on more humid days. While some days your skin might be better suited to a cleanser that hydrates and won’t strip your skin of natural oils, increased humidity means you’ll need to update your choice in cleanser. Rather than using a gentle cream facial cleanser or hydrating micellar water morning and night, reach for a mattifying clay facial cleanser once a day—you can still use your old favorite during your other cleansing session. To use, squeeze some of the facial cleanser into your hands and add water to see it transform from clay to mousse. Gently massage onto your face in circular motions, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry. Immediately, you’ll notice skin has a matte finish.

Use a peel pad:

Even after cleansing, your skin’s surface can still have build-up of residual dirt and oil. It’s nothing against your cleansing method; it just means you aren’t quite finished with that portion of your skin care routine. After cleansing, you can get rid of lingering buildup with a chemical exfoliating option. Use a glycolic acid peel pad at night to produce brighter, clarified, and more radiant skin.

Its multi-ply textured pads physically work to resurface dead skin cells to reveal more youthful-looking skin, that appears bright, luminous and lit-from-within. This derm-inspired anti-wrinkle and brightening treatment is formulated with glycolic acid to gently yet effectively dissolve dead skin cells and reduce the visibility of wrinkles and fine lines with continued use over time.
